Your project is personal. I treat your privacy that way too.
When you contact me
The contact form prepares a draft in your email application. The website itself does not send the message or store it on a server. If you send it, I use your name, email, optional company details and project information to reply and discuss working together. Providing information is voluntary, but I need contact details to respond. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, or the legitimate interest of answering general enquiries under Article 6(1)(f). I keep correspondence as long as needed for the enquiry or collaboration, and longer where necessary to meet a legal obligation or protect legal claims.
Analytics with your permission
After you select “Accept analytics”, I use PostHog Cloud EU to count page views. Before permission and after rejection, analytics does not load or send events. Consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR is optional; declining it does not limit the website. You can withdraw consent anytime through “Analytics settings” in the footer and “Reject analytics”. Withdrawal stops further measurement without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
What is measured
An event contains the page path, language, referring website domain and basic browser, operating system and device type information. Each page view has a new random technical identifier, which is not saved in browser storage to link visits. URL query parameters and fragments, form contents and referring page paths are excluded. PostHog is configured to discard IP addresses; location enrichment, person profiles, automatic click capture and screen recordings are disabled. Privacy pages are not measured.
What your browser remembers
Analytics does not store tracking cookies or a persistent visitor identifier. Local storage remembers only your analytics choice for 180 days; that preference is not sent to PostHog. The site also remembers your chosen language in local storage and whether the introduction animation has played in this tab’s session storage. These are functional website preferences. If you block storage, your choice applies while the page is open, and you may be asked again after reloading.
Providers and retention
Cloudflare delivers the website, Gmail provides the email inbox, and PostHog Cloud EU provides optional analytics. Analytics retention follows the PostHog plan terms: the free plan specifies one year. Automatic enforcement depends on the provider enabling it for the project, so automatic deletion exactly after one year is not confirmed. Providers also process necessary network information, such as an IP address during a connection, to deliver and secure their services. Website security relies on the legitimate interest of operating a safe website. EU hosting does not mean every provider operation takes place exclusively within the EEA. Transfers outside the EEA are subject to applicable safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses; see the provider terms linked below for details.
Your rights
Subject to GDPR conditions, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw analytics consent in the footer. Because page views are not linked to your name or email, I may be unable to associate a particular analytics event with you. To exercise your rights, write to the contact email above. You can also complain to Slovakia’s Office for Personal Data Protection. No automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects are made.
About this portfolio
Project examples illustrate my work. Service availability, timing and pricing are confirmed by individual agreement; sending an enquiry does not itself place an order. External websites are operated independently and have their own privacy policies.
